Body of Russian military with signs of violent death found in Armenia
He could have been killed.
In one of the apartments of Gyumri, Armenia, the body of a 23-year-old Russian soldier, who served at the 102nd Military Base, was found, TASS reported, referring to the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
Investigators suggest that the military man could have been killed, but have so far found it difficult to identify the exact cause of death – a forensic medical examination has not yet been carried out.
“Cuts were found on the body of the deceased,” the department’s press service noted, adding that a criminal case has been initiated and the investigation is underway.
The 102nd Russian military base in Armenia was established in 1995. About 5,000 people serve there.
