Biathlonist who decided to compete for Slovenia calls Russian sport chapiteau

Russian biathlonist Olga Podchufarova has explained why she decided to change for the Slovenia’s team. With that, she did not to mince her words, having called all Russian sports a chapiteau.
The 27-year-old biathlonist told her fans on Instagram that she decided to change her sport nationality due to the attitude towards sports in the country. Podchufarova called her fans for respecting her choice. The fans’ perception of all our sports is that it’s all about a ‘get-together’ or it’s like a circus performance. At some point, I realized that it’s a chapiteau. And I don’t want to be its sad clown. That’s why I’m changing my vector,” the professional athlete wrote.
She said that for some people it’s just a show, and for professional athletes, it’s their whole life. “We, sportspeople, go through this show-moment as the whole life. That’s why we make much of it,” the biathlonist noted and thanked all those who had backed her decision.
Olga Podchufarova, according to Sportbox.ru, announced in the end of 2017/18 season about the ending of her career, however this summer, she decided to get back to professional sports. The biathlonist is a bronze medallist at 2017 World Championship in mixed relay. Besides that, she has gold and bronze at various stages of the World Championship.
