Yekaterinburg: MIA colonel who came from Moscow with inspection dies
The body of the law enforcer has been found in his hotel room.
In Yekaterinburg on the night of June 11, a colonel of the Interior Ministry, who was sent here from Moscow, killed himself. This is reported by the Ombudsmen Politsii group.
The tragedy took place in the Marins Park hotel by the train station. The information about the employee's death was confirmed by a law enforcement source, revealing his name – it was Colonel of the Internal Service, Ivan Vladimirovich Atiskov.
Head of the press service of the Sverdlovsk Ministry of Internal Affairs, Valery Gorelykh, told journalists: “The death of any person is exclusively the competence of the Investigative Committee.”
In Yekaterinburg, two inspections of the Ministry of Internal Affairs had to work starting on May 10 to check the activities of the Office of Transport of the Russian MIA in the Urals Federal District. Atiskov was responsible for the organizational and staffing activities of the inspection.
