Yakutia resident shots policeman and commits suicide

The second law enforcement officer who arrived on call was injured.

In the Yakut city of Srednekolymsk, 48-year-old Alexander Gavrilov shot two policemen who came to call: he killed 50-year-old officer Semyon Sivtsev, injured the second and committed suicide, reports REN-TV. Four children were left without a father, Komsomolskaya Pravda writes.

A woman called the police and said that her husband was beating her. Two policemen arrived at the scene. Gavrilov opened fire on them from the window of the house, and then committed suicide. The wounded policeman was taken to hospital.
