Yakutia’s Federal Security Service employees have detained a head of Aldansky district police Aleksander Osadchy suspected of abuse of authority (item 1 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), reports the media office of the Republic’s directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Head of a temporary holding facility of the district police Andrey Petrenko had earlier been detained and placed under house arrest. The investigation theory is that illegal food, substances and items - including alcohol - were transferred to inmates of the detention center. It was also determined that dates at night were organized for the inmates. The dates were arranged in unappropriated places and without an authorization of the authorized parties.
According to the investigation, the head of the temporary holding facility violated the work regime of the facility by direct order of Osadchy. The local media report that the head of the district police was detained in the morning, on August 22, during a ceremonial disposition of police personnel dedicated to the Day of Russia’s Flag.
