Voronezh police detains alleged killer of 17-year-old girl
The victim’s body was found almost without clothes; investigators initiated a case under two articles.
Investigators of the Voronezh Region, together with the police, tracked down and detained a possible killer of a 17-year-old girl, whose body was found naked near a construction site at Buturlinovka Medical College, the regional ICR’s Investigative Directorate reports. The investigating bodies initiated a criminal case of murder (part 2 of Article 105 CCRF) and rape (part 3 of Article 131 CCRF). The mother of the deceased is recognized as the injured party.
“A complex of necessary examinations, including forensic, has been commissioned to establish the exact cause of the minor’s death,” the department’s press service said.
According to a preliminary version, the girl was strangled and raped. The students of the medical college, where she studied in the second year, believe that the girl was killed by two friends with whom she was walking in the evening on the eve of her death.
The Prosecutor General's Office had earlier accused the Moscow region’s ex-official of exceeding official authority, taking a bribe on an especially large scale, and forgery, and demanded to seize assets worth of 9 billion rubles ($135 million) from him.
