Volkhov: unknown persons shot traffic police officer
The incident occurred when the policeman was not on duty.
In the Leningrad Region, in the city of Volkhov, a group of men with a shotgun fired into the traffic police officer Nikolay Malinin.
The attack took place at a nightclub Marsel at the birthday party of his friend, when the policeman was not in duty. A scuffle ensued between other guests. Malinin wanted to help resolve the situation and tried to persuade them to end the conflict, but drunk men attacked him with a knife and a shotgun.
Later, Malinin was found near the club unconscious with a gunshot wound.
Police officer was hospitalized. The doctors estimate his condition as heavy.
The police began searching for those who shot at the law enforcement officer.
