Volgograd: three teenagers become victims of hit and run

The police announced amber alert in the city.

Three 16-year-olds teenagers walking along a pedestrian crossing were knocked down in Volgograd by a Renault Logan. The victims are alive, but injured. The city police announced amber alert, TASS reports.

“Amber alert has been introduced in the city, they are looking for a foreign car with damage characteristic of an accident,” said Anton Kornaukhov, the deputy head of the press service of MIA’s Main Directorate for the Volgograd Region.

The accident took place at the Yubileinaya bus station in the Krasnoarmeysky District. The teenagers were taken to the hospital, where, after an examination, one of them was allowed to go home.

On December 7, in Volgograd, a Mercedes E 190 knocked down a 13-year-old schoolboy at a pedestrian crossing. The traffic lights were showing the red light for the vehicles. The driver fled the scene, but the city traffic police found the violator. The MIA investigators initiated a criminal case on causing serious harm to human health as a result of traffic violations due to negligence.
