Volgograd region: pensioner finds bag with weapons
He faces up to 5 years of imprisonment.
In the Volgograd region, a 60-year-old pensioner has been charged with ammunition storage. This is reported by regional media referring to the regional Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the police, a resident of Kotovo has found a bag with weapons and cartridges. Instead of handing the ammunition to the police, the pensioner decided to keep it. According to the case file, at the end of last year, the pensioner independently produced 42 cartridges for a Makarov pistol.
During a search, the police found a whole arsenal at his place, including a shotgun rifle, three revolvers, as well as about 200 ammunition from pistols to guns.
The Kotovsky district court will pass a sentence. The pensioner faces up to five years of real imprisonment for his love of guns.
Russia’s deposit insurance agency asked the court to involve an offshore company Clement Glory in a case against a fugitive banker and an ex-owner of Vneshprombank Georgy Bedzhamov. Clement Glory turned out to hold Bedzhamov’s real estate in Great Britain in pawn, reports RBC.
