Vladivostok detains driver who knocked down family with child on sidewalk and left them to die
The Vladivostok driver of a Volvo car drove onto the sidewalk and hit a family of three, including a child born in 2017.
The suspect was arrested by a Primorye police officer.
Nikolay Timchenko was behind the wheel of a Volvo during an accident where a small child and his mother died. The official representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Irina Volk, has already confirmed this information.
A criminal case was initiated under part 5 of Art. 264 article of the Criminal Code (Violation of Traffic Rules, resulting in the death of two people). The driver faces up to seven years in prison.

In the hospital where the victims were taken, a team of neurosurgeons was promptly assembled, they had fought for the patients, but the injuries were incompatible with life, the woman and the child died.
It concerns entrepreneur Dmitry Motorin, Boris Usherovich, a co-owner of the Group of Companies 1520, and Novoe Vremya board member, Ivan Stankevich. Motorin is accused of giving a bribe on an especially large scale, and Stankevich and Usherovich are charged with bribe-taking.
