Taxi driver who was passing by noticed the senior lecturer who fell in the river. Initially, the driver tried to pull the lecturer out of water on his own. Sokolov’s house is located 20 meters away from the scene. Anastasia Yeshchenko’s mutilated corpse was found in his apartment. The docent had managed to drown her legs in the river. There was only a body and a cut head left.

Sokolov wrote a confession. He stated that he had killed Yeshchenko during a conflict on November 7. After that, he invited friends to a feast, having hidden the corpse in a closet. The next day, on November 9, he bought a saw and decided to get rid of the dead body.
