USSR champion found lying dead in his apartment several days
Dead body of the former professional athlete was found by his daughter.
Former tennis player and world-class master of sport Viacheslav Egorov has been found dead in his apartment in Moscow, reports Komsomolskaya pravda.
Dead body of the former professional athlete is reported to have been found by his daughter. According to police, Egorov died between November 13 and 16. The body with signs of decay was taken to Moscow’s Tsaritsyno mortuary. Egorov died at the age of 82.
Since 2012, Egorov is a member of the Russia’s Hall of Tennis Fame. He was a champion of the USSR in the male and mixed doubles. He also has victories at Spartakiad of the USSR and the Soviet Cup.
On October 20, Russian tennis player Aleksander Volkov died at the age of 52. During his professional career, he won tournaments of the Association of Tennis Professionals three times. He got in the Davis Cup twice as part of the country’s team.
