Sources report one of the chiefs of Solikamsk police division has been detained.

The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate officers have detained a high-ranking security official at the wheel of an official car with forged plates in Prikamye, reports URA.RU with reference to its sources.

According to URA.RU source, the violator is one of the chiefs of Solikamsk police division.

“On January 18, Skoda Octavia was stopped by the Road Patrol Service officers and the Internal Affairs Subdivision representatives,” the source said.

During the inspection, it was found out that the vehicle is on the list of Russia’s MIA, however the plate was taken from utilized Zhiguli. It is unknown why the plates had been replaced.

The media office of Russia’ MIA in Perm region confirmed that police officers had detained a vehicle with an official at the wheel.

Protocol was drawn up against the violator. Other details were not provided.
