The United Russia Moscow Region Arm will suspend the membership of Lesnoy town (Pushkino district of the Moscow region) deputy Andrey Odintsov for slapping a kid, according to the United Russia Moscow Region Arm website. The suspension will take place during the next meeting.

Acting Pushkino District Administration Head Koba Paikidze said the investigation continues. The suspension will remain in place until it is complete.

Head of the United Russia Moscow Region Arm Denis Perepelitsin reportedly condemned Odintsov’s behavior. The perpetrator abstained from comments.

The incident occurred several days ago. Odintsov was inspecting a Eldigino village stadium and making sure the contractors complies with the requirements. He reproved two children who were allowed to skip a PE lesson for being noisy. They did not listen; he slapped one of them. When talking with the school director later he refused to apologize, saying he “knows how to work with the youth.” The parents had their son medically examined and are preparing to sue.
