Ufa policeman accused of raping his collegue found brain tumor
Previously, all those accused of abusing the girl got extended arrest until February. The Supreme Court refused to review the sentence.
The lawyer of former head of the department for migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Ufa district Pavel Yaromchuk, accused of participating in group rape of a 23-year-old female investigator, said that his client had a brain tumor, according to UFA1.Ru. According to Naila Bagautdinov, the investigator and the court ignore the state of his client: the day before, the Supreme Court refused to change his preventive measure for undergoing MRI diagnostics and treatment.
Bagautdinov said that he intended to seek diagnosis for Yaromchuk in order to determine the type of tumor.
Earlier, the court extended the arrest of Yaromchuk, as well as the former head of the MIA of the Russian Federation in the Ufa district, Eduard Matveev, and the former head of the MIA in the Karmaskalinsky district, Salavat Galiev, until the end of February 2019.
It was also reported that the victim, whom the defendants abused in late October in the building of the migration department of the MIA of the Ufa district, was dismissed from the police for behavior that slandered the honor of a law enforcement officer. The official reason was drinking alcohol in the workplace.
