Ufa investigator who reported about being raped by coworkers dismissed due to drinking at work
The victim’s behavior was considered defamatory for the MIA employee.
In Ufa, the junior investigator, who filed a claim with the ICR about being raped by three police officers, and her friend have been dismissed from the MIA for conduct that discredits a police officer. The reason is participating in a party where the investigator and three department heads drank alcoholic beverages in the premises of the Ufa District police department, the MIA’s press service for the Republic of Bashkortostan reports.
“According to the results of the internal probe, a decision was made to dismiss two employees of the Ufa District MIA department for committing an offense that disgraces the honor of the internal affairs officers,” the report reads.
The mentioned department heads of the republican MIA, Eduard Matveyev, Salavat Galiyev and Pavel Yaromchuk, were fired earlier, after being arrested on charges of raping a subordinate.
