The Ufa highway patrol officer hit pedestrian while driving a police car. The case is under investigation.
Police learned about the accident on the evening of October 20. Employees of the Leninsky Inter-Regional Investigative Department of the Office of Investigations of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Bashkortostan are investigating it.
The following is known at the time being: a 35 y. o. officer was driving a police Škoda Octavia through a green light at the junction of Akhmetova and Letchikov Streets, when he hit an 18 y. o. crossing the road against the traffic lights. The pedestrian was taken to hospital.
The investigators have already examined the car’s dash cam footage. They are now working on building a complete picture of the accident. They will take a proceeding decision based on the investigation results.
