TV host Vladimir Solovyov and his children receive Italian residence permit
The journalist admitted that he received the status many years ago.
The Russia 1 TV channel host Vladimir Solovyov and his five children have a residence permit in Italy, according to opposition politician Alexey Navalny. Solovyov explained that the status was received before 2014 and it is “a permission to stay with a certain status,” in the province of Como, where the TV host has his own villa.
“We spend 21 billion rubles ($ 333 million) annually to cover the losses of the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company where Solovyov with a residence permit in another country and Brilev with British citizenship work,” Navalny said.
In 2017, it transpired that Solovyov has three apartments in Moscow with a total cost of more than 260 million rubles ($ 4,1 million), a villa near the village of Peredelkino, the price of which can reach 400 million rubles ($ 6,3 million), and two villas near the Italian Lake Como, where the singer Madonna, actors Sylvester Stallone, and George Clooney and several other Hollywood stars bought property.
