Traders of Hero of the Soviet Union stars were arrested in Moscow
During the investigation the MIA officers arrested two suspects in the trafficking of stolen awards in Moscow. They robbed heroes of the USSR and Russia, stealing state awards, including “The Gold Medal of the Hero”.
During the search were seized more than fifty awards and medals.
As the MIA’s official representative, Irina Volk said, at first they detained one the suspects in the center of Moscow. Prior to the detention, a 42-year-old man tried to sell the medals of the Hero of the Soviet Union, Ivan Ermolaevich Ryzhkov.
During the search in the flat of the suspect were found plaques and certificates of the Hero of the Soviet Union, belonging to A.F. Kolomeitsev.
Later, investigators found out and arrested his accomplice, the seller of antiques from the Moscow Region. A search in his apartment gave even more significant results.
In addition to the two Hero stars along with the awards documents for names V.I. Andrianov and I.I. Korchagin, there were discovered more than 50 stolen state awards. According to the MIA’s representative, the awards will be handed over to the relatives of the owners and traders will go on trial.
Ismail Efendiev is suspected of exceeding authority in connection with the investigation of cases of detained earlier former First Deputy Prime Minister Ramazan Aliyev and nephew of the former head of Dagestan Askhabali Abdulatipov. Searches are being conducted at Efendiev's office and house.
The disappearance of an elderly Muscovite, who owns three rooms on Ostozhenka Street, and her disabled son, worried the neighbors, but the police refused to initiate criminal proceedings on their application. Housing in the elite area of the capital in the meantime was re-registered to a resident of St. Petersburg, who introduced herself as their relative.
