Tobolsk deputy loses Lexus due to debts on alimony
A Tobolsk deputy has been deprived of his car and sent to sweep the streets because of debts on alimony.
Tobolsk bailiffs have filed an enforcement proceeding against one of the deputies of the Tobolsk Municipal District Duma. The man owes 384 thousand rubles ($5.6 thousand) for the maintenance of his two daughters.
According to the press service of the regional office of the Federal Bailiff Service, over the current year, the deputy has paid for the maintenance of his children only twice. In connection with this, a protocol on the administrative violation had been drawn up against him, and materials of the enforcement proceedings had been referred to the court.
As a result, the magistrate has sentenced the deputy to compulsory work for 75 hours as punishment. In addition, in connection with the accumulated debt, his Lexus has been seized. The man has been threatened with criminal liability and imprisonment if he continues to evade his parental duty.
