"The UAZ dragged the burning body all the way": Yugra drunken policeman hits and kills teenager with service car
The traffic police officer just kept driving with the burning body on the hood, as if nothing had happened.
The incident has become a hot topic on social media. The family of the teenager run down in the village of Peregrebnoe (Oktyabrsky district) is struggling to find the money for a lawyer. Andrey Kalugin, 15, was riding a motorcycle wearing a helmet along the main road. The UAZ showed up from a secondary road and collided with the motorcycle, although the driver had to give way to him. The collision set the motorcycle and the driver on fire. The UAZ kept dragging the boy's burning body for a long time after, without even trying to help him. Only the driver of a passing bus tried to save the boy.
Maxim Kalugin, a follower of Podslushano Peregrebnoe VK public page, claimed that officer Batyr Daudov was drunk at the time of the accident, and that it was not his first hit-and-run without any chance of a medical examination. "Many villagers saw that he was in a state of intoxication, but he asked the hospital staff to keep quiet about it. Police officers running the investigation keep altering the scenario in every possible way. Corruption everywhere, they are trying to defend the good name of the police," Kalugin wrote.
Anonymous Peregrebnoe villagers have been stating that Daudov came for examination only a day later.
A criminal case has been initiated against the policeman under Article "Violation of traffic rules, which has, by negligence, entailed a human death". A forensic medical examination is being carried out, and a technical examination has been scheduled. The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous District also told URA.RU that the official is now a subject of a functional audit check.
