Suspect in National Guard officer's murder detained in Transbaikalia
Law enforcement officers have detained a suspect in the shooting at National Guard of Russia officers in Transbaikalia.
As reported by the MIA regional administration, the suspect's brother, a resident of Chita, has appealed to the police. He told that his brother, suspected in murdering a National Guard officer, who had been hiding in the woods since the commission of the crime, had come to him. After that, the suspect was arrested and handed over to the local investigative authorities.
Let us recall that the incident occurred on November 20 in the Karymskoe village. Employees of the National Guard of Russia's private security service responded to a call of murder attempt on village resident. A 30-year-old local with a gun in his hands was found at the scene. In response to the proposal to hand over the weapon, the man opened fire on the law enforcement officers from a 12-bore slug gun.
Driver of the detainers group, a 27-year-old police sergeant died on the spot from his injuries. Team's foreman, a 34-year-old ensign also sustained a through wound of the forearm.
Officers of the National Guard of Russia fired back from service weapons. However, throwing his weapon, the attacker disappeared.
