Substance used to poison Sergei Skripal and his daughter identified
The media report that a nerve agent was used.
The investigation’s main version on the poisoning of former military intelligence Colonel Sergei Skripal and his daughter is the use of a nerve agent, The Guardian reports citing unnamed sources.
According to the publication’s interlocutors, law enforcement officers came to such conclusions after studying the results of the medical and chemical examination. Which substance exactly could be used was not specified.
Now, the police have to find out if the substance is in the UK, or it was brought from somewhere. In addition, it transpired that the police qualified the poisoning of Skripal as an assassination attempt.
It is to be recalled that earlier the police reported that Sergei Skripal and his daughter, who were hospitalized as a result of poisoning on March 4 in Salisbury, are in critical condition. They were found unconscious on a bench in a shopping center.
According to Reuters, the main version of the police is about Russia’s involvement in the poisoning. The police suggest that Skripal could be poisoned as revenge for his betrayal.
