State Duma deputy beaten to a pulp
Sergei Zhigarev was hospitalized after the incident, but then refused to stay in the hospital.
Someone severely beat up Sergei Zhigarev, a State Duma deputy from the LDPR, on Sunday night in northern Moscow. REN TV reported the news.
The website specified that the incident occurred on Polina Osipenko Street. The MP got a closed craniocerebral injury and numerous bruises.
Sergei Zhigarev was hospitalized after the incident, but when the doctors examined him and gave him first aid, he refused to stay.
Zhigarev got to the State Duma of the seventh convocation in December 2016. He was elected chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry, Innovative Development and Entrepreneurship.
