State Duma deputy Adam Delimkhanov intervened in trial of ex-silovik from Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug who shot native of Caucasus in head
He sided with the countryman in a high-profile case.
State Duma deputy from Chechnya Adam Delimkhanov intervened in the trial of his fellow countryman Denis Chernyshev, who was brought to justice for a shot in the head of Islam Abdullayev, a native of the Caucasus, Ura.Ru was informed about this by a source in law enforcement agencies.
According to the interlocutor of the portal, Delimkhanov appealed to the prosecutor's office, demanding an independent investigation against the former security official Chernyshev. The former Deputy Chairman of the government of the Chechen Republic believes that the trial is now being deliberately protracted.
Chernyshev’s lawyer Artem Romanenko, in turn, said that Abdullayev’s side thus tries to postpone the moment of bringing the victim to justice for the attack on Chernyshev.
“The victim and his representatives generate petitions, the meaning of which is clear only to them. The legal denial of these petitions is presented as lawlessness in relation to the native of the Caucasus,” the lawyer concluded.
