St. Petersburg: $26.400 stolen from citizen of China car
Unknown broke the glass of the car and found a bag with money under the passenger seat.
Video cameras of St. Petersburg filmed unknown people, who robbed a Chinese citizen for 1.7 million rubles. The culprits spied upon the foreigner. When he and the girl left the car, a bag of money was stolen from his BMW, REN TV reports.
The incident occurred on May 21. The criminals broke the glass in the car, opened the door and pulled out a bag with cash from under the passenger seat. According to the recording from a surveillance camera, the police found that one of the robbers arrived in a Ford Focus car. Investigators initiated a criminal case of theft.
General’s son Mikhail Sal’nikov, Professor of the Department of Theory of Government and Law at the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of the Russian Federation, has been detained for real estate fraud. Amid other corruption crimes hitting the headlines, this offense does not seem a high-profile one. But the point is that this is not the first criminal case instituted against professor Sal’nikov, and he is not the only relative of MIA general Viktor Sal’nikov having problems with the law.
