Сourt refused to return case of races on Gelandewagen in Moscow to Prosecutor
The Court will begin the hearing on merits on 7 September.
The Gagarin Moscow Court refused to return case against participants in the race on the Mercedes, which received in the media and the community wide response, to the Prosecution. As the correspondent of TASS reported, the Court rejected the petition to protect defendants in the case.
The defense stated in the petition that the indictment was drawn up with violations of the law, which excluded the possibility of sentencing. Lawyers noted that the indictment did not contain a clear description of the acts constituting a threat to the authorities. The Prosecutor's Office requested to reject the petition, because, in its view, the indictment was drawn up correctly and allowed you to decide the final decision.
The Court rejected the defense’s motion to exclude evidence, namely the results of psychological and linguistic expertise. The measure of restraint for defendants (under house arrest) has been left unchanged. The first hearing on merits the court appointed on 7th September.
Lieutenant General Oleg Troshin announced he is going to retire in May 2018. He is doing it following a decision taken a year ago – not due to non-existent issues with the agency reported by some local media outlets.
A serious and not at all political clash of interests is taking place at the Russian Federation Council. Kamchatka senators Valery Ponomarev and Boris Nevzorov are failing at deciding how to divide the Kamchatka water resources; both men make millions of dollars off of them every year.
