Son of Ingush UR party member arrested on suspicion of terrorism
Deputy Zakriy Mamilov

According to a United Russia party member, Zakriy Mamilov, his son has recently lived and worked in the Moscow region.

The son of a United Russia party member in the People's Assembly of Ingushetia, Zakriy Mamilov, has been arrested in the criminal case of an Act of Terrorism (Art. 205 of the Russian Criminal Code). The deputy reported this to Interfax.

According to Mamilov, his son is currently in a Kashira pre-trial detention center. The relatives of the arrested person have tried to appeal the preventive measure in the Moscow Regional Court, but the court left the decision unchanged. The man has been arrested for two months.

Mamilov said that his son has long lived in the Moscow region and worked as a construction manager. According to him, people of different nationalities, including natives of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, work with him. Law enforcers did not find anything forbidden during the searches on April 29.

According to the deputy, a few more people have been detained as part of the same case in the Moscow region. Mamilov said the case a frame-up, Kavkaz.Realii reports. According to him, during the appeal of the preventive measure, the judge did not listen to the defense, and making the decision took him “half a minute.”

In the court of first instance on April 30, when the preventive measure was being elected, there was nothing of the kind, and even the lawyers said they saw such behavior of a judge for the first time. Therefore, it seemed to me that the case could have been a frame-up; although, of course, I cannot directly link this arrest with my political activities; I can only assume,” the deputy said.

In the autumn of 2018, Zakriy Mamilov openly declared the falsification of the results of voting on the transfer of land to the Chechen republic in the People’s Assembly of Ingushetia. In addition, the deputy spoke at the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation, where Head of the Republic Yunus-Bek Yevkurov addressed after the Ingushetia Constitutional Court did not recognize the agreement on the border between the republic as legal. In recent months, the deputy has repeatedly criticized the actions of the republic leadership on this issue.
