Sochi Tax Service Head dismissed for tax exemption
He was engaged in the resort business, avoiding taxes on him.
The Head of the Tax Service of the Sochi central district is caught in tax evasion when renting his own home to vacationers. Now the Head of the Tax Service will be dismissed and have to pay the full amount of taxes evaded. Krasnodar region prosecutor Sergey Tabelsky told this at the anti-corruption forum in Rostov-on-Don.
"After the prosecutor's inspection, the Head of the tax inspection of the central district of Sochi was dismissed. He owned a house with an area of 700 square meters, actually used it for commercial purposes (spa business), while the civil servant unlawfully released himself from paying taxes on this activity," Tabelsky said.
In addition, Tabelsky said that since the beginning of the year there were dismissed 65 civil servants who in fact were engaged in entrepreneurial activities and deliberately provided false information about their incomes and income of their families’ members. In total, about 300 million rubles ($5m) were concealed.
The opposition leader was detained in the afternoon of February 22 in Moscow while he was walking out of a dental clinic. Navalny is accused of a second participation in an unsanctioned event, for which he faces up to 30 days of jail.
No violations have been revealed in the criminal prosecution of Colonel Zakharchenko’s family members. The appeal of lawyer Emelyanov to the president was forwarded to the Prosecutor General's Office and the ICR.
