Slaver from Uzbekistan detained at Novosibirsk airport
Documents for his extradition to his homeland are being prepared.
Employees of the transport police detained a citizen of Uzbekistan, who is suspected of human trafficking, at the Novosibirsk Tolmachevo Airport, the press service of the transport department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Siberian Federal District (SFD) reports.
According to investigators, a 32-year-old man kidnapped and held people, and later sold and shipped them across the border of Uzbekistan. In Tashkent, a criminal case under the Human Trafficking article was initiated against the detainee.
It is noted that the suspect was hiding from the investigating authorities and was put on the international wanted list. Police officers detained him when checking in for a flight to Yakutsk.
Currently, the slaver is arrested, documents are being prepared for his extradition to Uzbekistan.
