Six-year-old boy freezes to death while his parents put out fire at school
The child’s body was found three hundred meters from his grandfather's house.
Residents of the village of Verkhny Kukut, the Ekhirit-Bulagatsky District, the Irkutsk Region, found a dead six-year-old boy three hundred meters from his grandfather's house. As the investigators found out, the day before, the child's parents went to help extinguish the fire at the local school, and the boy was left with the older sister. Employees of the regional ICR’s Investigative Directorate launched a pre-investigation check.
According to the preliminary version, on the night of December 5, the boy got out of the locked house and went to his grandfather, but froze on the way. The temperature at that time was below 40 degrees. No injuries were found on the boy's body. The family is not registered with the Non-Adult Affairs Department and is characterized positively. In order to establish the exact cause of death, the investigation launched a forensic medical examination.
