Singer Yermak sentenced for murdering drinking companion
During the quarrel, the singer stabbed his friend 29 and stole the property worth almost $ 1,500.
The Savelovsky Court of Moscow sentenced singer Alexander Churakov, better known as Yermak, 36, to 12 years in a strict regime penal colony for murder and theft. The artist quarreled with his drinking companion and in the heat of the moment stabbed him at least 29 times, after which he stole two laptops, two mobile phones and a tablet from the victim’s apartment. The worth of the stolen items totals to 96,000 rubles ($ 1,450), TASS reports.
The murder was committed on the night of August 24, 2017 in an apartment on the Khoroshevskoe Highway. The victim died immediately.
Churakov is the CEO of the cultural and production center Aleksandrit and the president of the charitable foundation of Alexander Yermak, he also used to be deputy of the Moscow City Duma. The most popular song of the artist is Ty u menya odna, the lyrics for which were written by Ilya Reznik, and the music by Raymond Pauls.
