The wife of former SKA goalkeeper Maxim Sokolov, Irina, was found dead in a private house of the village of Novaya Romanovka in the Leningrad region. According to the preliminary version, the eldest son Maxim attacked her, the ICR reports.
According to the investigators, the 18-year-old boy first cut his mother's throat, and then inflicted several injuries, a source close to the investigation told RIA FAN. Now Maxim Sokolov is hospitalized in serious condition - he wounded neck, chest, and wrists.
At the same time, the Mash Telegram channel provides a version narrated by the younger son, Arseny. He was at home in the evening when Max came into his room and tried to strangle him and then stabbed him with a knife. Arseny managed to fight off and ran off to the neighbors asking for help. When the boy returned to the house with pensioner Roman Gatchenko, the mother was already dead.
Then, according to Arseny, he lost control and attacked his brother, stabbing him in the chest and neck. According to the hockey player's youngest son, Maxim said a week ago that he was preparing a ritual murder of the whole family. It is also known that Maxim suffered cancer, and his mother nursed him for a long time.
The investigation does not exclude the version that Arseny attacked the mother and brother.
