Shaltay-Boltay’s leader refused appeal of sentence
Vladimir Anikeev's defense withdrew the appeal on the decision of the Moscow City Court.
Lawyers of leader of the hacker group Shaltay-Boltay (Humpty-Dumpty) Vladimir Anikeev withdrew the complaint about the sentence of the Moscow City Court according to which Lewis has to spend two years in standard regime penal colony. TASS reported it with reference to one of the representatives of Anikeev’s defense Hazret Bizhoev.
As the CrimeRussia wrote earlier, on Thursday, August 17 during the court session leader of Shaltay-Boltay gave testimonies against his two former subordinates - Konstantin Teplyakov and Alexander Filinov. The last are accused under article Illegal Access to Computer Information Made by a Group of Persons by Previous Concert or Organized Group. Teplyakov admitted his guilt, while Filinov denies participation in the group.
The group of hackers Shaltay-Boltay became known a few years ago. Hackers cracked computers and tablets of the high-ranking officials, organizations and media, traded the stolen information through the Internet.
On September 21, kingpin Vladimir Vagin, aka Vagon, hanged himself. Two years earlier another thief in law Max Pioner also committed suicide. Vagon's lawyer does not believe in the version of suicide and intends to apply for a forensic medical examination.
