Several reports drawn up in respect of Mercedes driver who caused accident with police car
A pre-investigation check is currently conducted into the car accident involving patrol car in the center of Moscow.
The 19-year-old driver of Mercedes, who had caused the accident on Novoslobodskaya Street, has been detained. Administrative reports on a number of articles have been drawn up against the young man, including:
- The driver's failure to comply with the requirement to undergo a medical examination for intoxication;
- Non-compliance with the requirements for compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners;
- Driving by a driver who is not entitled to drive a vehicle.
In addition, the law enforcement agencies are now deciding on filing a report against the driver for disobeying the lawful order of a police officer.
Let us recall that, as previously reported by the CrimeRussia, the accident involving the policemen took place at about 3:00 on Novoslobodskaya Street. The patrol car was chasing the offender, who rudely violated the driving regulations; he lost control and swerved into the oncoming patrol car. As a result of the collision, three policemen were injured.
Lieutenant General Oleg Troshin announced he is going to retire in May 2018. He is doing it following a decision taken a year ago – not due to non-existent issues with the agency reported by some local media outlets.
