Serial rapist from Perm was hiding from justice for seven years
The convicted criminal attacked single women at night.
A Perm court sentenced a serial rapist to 8.5 years in a general regime penal colony for six attacks on women. The offender has been committing the crimes for seven years – he tracked down a lonely victim at night and raped her. After the sixth attack, the police studied the recordings of CCTV cameras and established the perpetrator’s traits, after which they detained a 44-year-old resident of Udmurtia, the ICR’s Investigative Directorate for the Perm Region reports.
According to the investigators, the rapist committed has committed crimes from 2011 to August 2018, at night, in public places of the Promyshlenny and Dzerzhinsky Districts. The detention took place on September 2, 2018.
The Prosecutor General's Office had earlier accused the Moscow region’s ex-official of exceeding official authority, taking a bribe on an especially large scale, and forgery, and demanded to seize assets worth of 9 billion rubles ($135 million) from him.
