Security guards at Kosmos Hotel beat two prominent businessmen after karaoke party
The hotel employees claim that the drunken head of a large construction company and the employee of an oil empire were the ones who instigated the fight.
Security guards at Kosmos Hotel in Moscow assaulted the head of a large construction company and an employee of an oil empire, reports Moskovsky Komsomolets. The fight got on a surveillance camera and was published by the TV channel REN TV.
The fight took place on Sunday night, December 9th. One of the businessmen came to a karaoke bar at the hotel with his wife and two adult children. After the party, the businessmen got out into to the hotel lobby in a very drunk state.
The footage shows a woman in an evening dress trying to take the men outside. After that, they try to hug and fall to the floor. As they get out of the hotel, a conflict breaks out between the businessmen and hotel security staff; the reasons are unknown. The guards beat the men and handcuff them in seconds. Then they take them to the back room, where the businessmen are kept until the police arrived.
One of the victims suffered numerous head injuries and a nose fracture; the other one suffered bruises and concussion in the brawl. Another person involved in the conflict was the son of the construction company head, who pressed battery charges at the Alekseevsky PD.
On the eve of the opening of the Davos forum, the Oxfam Foundation issued a report entitled Public Good or Private Wealth. It says about doubling the number of billionaires over the past ten years and increasing inequality in the world.
