Security forces break into apartment of gay men who adopted 2 boys
The men were not at home. The couple had not been notified of the investigative actions.
Moscow police came with a search to an apartment of two gay men who had adopted two boys, reports Mediazona, citing the LGBT group Vykhod.
According to the human rights activists, the couple was not at home. The security forces got inside, having picked all the locks. It is reported that earlier, the men had told the police that they were planning to go on holiday with the children. The couple had not been notified of the investigative actions. The time of the search has not been reported.
Yesterday children ombudsman Anna Kuznetsova was outraged by the fact that a gay couple had adopted kids. She stated that, by law, children should be protected from “propaganda of non-traditional relations”. The ombudsman said that one of the boys told the doctors that he had two fathers when he got into the hospital with abdominal pain. After that, the doctors turned to the prosecutor's office and the ICR.
On July 17, the ICR reported that a criminal case of negligence had been initiated against the social security officials of the Marino district, who had allowed homosexuals to adopt children. The department of labor and social protection of Moscow responded that the children are taken good care of, have tutors, do sports, and go on vacation abroad.
