Searches conducted in building of Rostourism
Media assume that the visit of law enforcement authorities is connected with investigation of activities of the ex-Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Kuban.
Searches were conducted in the building of Federal Tourism Agency in Moscow, however the department does not know who and why were conducting them, RBC with reference to the head of the media service of the agency Irina Lebedeva reports.
Meanwhile, the source of Interfax in a tourist's industry supposed that the visit of law enforcement authorities is connected with investigation of activities of adviser to the head of Rostourism Evgeny Kudeli who earlier held a position of the minister of resorts and tourism and the Olympic heritage of the Krasnodar Region. The interlocutor of the agency specified that searches were carried out by the staff of Administration of the Federal Security Service in the Krasnodar Region and the Investigative Committee of Russia.
Head of Rostourism Oleg Safronov did not confirm but also did not deny this information. “Address to law enforcement agencies, ask them all questions”, Safonov told RBC.
To recall, Kudel left a post of the regional minister in July, 2016 at own will. Before resignation of the official the head of the region Veniamin Kondratyev subjected to sharp criticism a number of the directions on development of the resorts of Kuban. In particular, the governor drew the attention to a question of "a conclusion from a shadow" of illegal mini-hotels which according to documents appear private houses. Besides, Kudel was criticized because of absence in the region of the single operator who would be responsible for delivery of local vegetables and fruit to sanatoria.
