Russian watchdog blocks access to popular online games

Popular online games work face difficulties after blocking of IP-addresses by Roskomnadzor in the battle against Telegram messenger.
As reported by the readers of Rosbalt, one of the most famous games for tablets Plants vs. Zombies HD gets under the blow. Users trying to go online face Internet connection failure message. Also, the site of the app developer, Electronic Arts, runs into problems with access to its services.
As specified by Internet users, other online games, Fortnite, Total War: ARENA, Life is Feudal, Battlefield, have also been blocked. Fans of the latter (paid for the subscription) offered at one of the specialized forums to write a complaint to the Prosecutor General's Office in connection with the actions of Roskomnadzor.
Earlier, adviser to the President of the Russian Federation on Internet Development German Klimenko acknowledged that "it would make sense for Roskomnadzor to apologize" due to the fact that third-party resources faced problems out of the blocking of Telegram.
Major general Igor Vasiliev, Head of the Engineering Support Service of the Federal Protection Service (FPS), and lieutenant general Ulitin subordinate to him are currently in the middle of a scandal. However, it is unlikely that they lose their posts. Reportedly, the two generals are just the tip of the huge corruption iceberg in the law enforcement structures. This is not the first embezzlement episode in their careers.
