Russia and Ukraine exchange prisoners
Sources say there is a fundamental agreement on this issue.
The authorities of Russia and Ukraine have enhanced the process of prisoners’ exchange. According to Kommersant, citing informed sources, more than 60 Russians and Ukrainians who were still in custody may return to their homeland by the end of the month.
According to the edition, all Ukrainian sailors detained in the Kerch Strait last November may join this list. It is noted that the exchange will not affect director Oleg Sentsov. Kirill Vyshinsky, RIA Novosti Ukraine chief, refused to be part of the trade because he wants to obtain an acquittal in Kyiv courts.
None of the parties does reveal the exact terms of the exchange. Most likely, it will take place before the end of this month. At the same time, the interlocutors of the newspaper cite the fundamental agreement on this issue.
