Rostov: two district policemen get busted on corruption charges worth $1.5k
According to representatives of the local MIA Main Directorate, the law enforcers have already been dismissed.
In Rostov-on-Don, two district police officers, who had extorted 100 thousand rubles ($1,527) from a detainee, have been detained. This is reported by 1Rnd.ru.
The law enforcers of the Oktyabrsky district police department demanded a large sum of money from a local resident. In exchange, they promised not to hold him liable under Robbery. It is known that one of the police officers is a district policeman. The other is a juvenile affairs specialist. The local MIA Main Directorate also reported that both officers have already been dismissed.
At the moment, ICR investigators are carrying out a pre-investigation check. The issue regarding initiation of criminal proceedings is being decided.
