The Romanian Foreign Ministry is ready to side with member of the Inter RAO board Сarina Turcan, arrested for espionage. This is reported by Agerpres with reference to Romanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Meleşcanu.

The official stressed that the department does not yet obtain details about the detention and investigation against Turcan.

"Indeed, we are talking about a citizen who has several passports, several citizenships - Russian, Moldovan and Romanian. If necessary, we are ready to lend assistance " the agency reports citing Meleşcanu, who adds that he is waiting for explanations from the Russian side.

Recall that the day before it became known about the arrest of Inter RAO top manager Сarina Turcan, who is suspected of espionage. According to the media, she cooperated with businessmen that work for the foreign intelligence of Romania. The RAO reported that Turcan is on vacation. Also, it became known about the searches in the office of Deputy Minister of Energy Vyacheslav Kravchenko, who, according to Interfax, is on trial as a witness.
