The Directorate of Internal Affairs in the Moscow Southern District arrested police officers suspected of kidnapping a man. Moscow police officially stated that the Deputy Chief of the regional police department in the Southern District and two Criminal Investigation policemen with the same department had conspired with an undisclosed criminal gang. The agency has not yet reported any details regarding the gang that had links with law enforcement bodies.
The Deputy Chief and investigators had to develop and implement a kidnapping plan. Naturally, the corrupt cops were promised a reward. Given the official position of the suspects, it was quite easy for them to trace the man’s whereabouts. Then the officers detained him illegally and handed over to the gang, there has been no information about the victim ever since.
The Deputy Police Chief and the investigators are being questioned.
The MIA Press Service stated that the policemen would be dismissed from the service, and their superiors would be scrutinized.
A large-scale purge of thieves in law, which started shortly after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s coming to power, continues in Armenia. After receiving threats of arrests, thieves were taken in custody for carrying weapons and drugs.
However, the thief, who is currently dividing the spheres of influence in Ukraine’s Odessa region with Antimoz Kukhilava through his representatives, has been sentenced in absentia. Mindiya Goradze is not in Georgia at the moment.
