Pyatigorsk: 3 police officers wounded in grenade attack in apartment building
Three police officers were wounded in a grenade attack in an apartment building in Pyatigorsk, Stavropol region, on May 7, according to the Stavropol region Russian Investigative Committee Department.
A drunk man called the police saying he was going to fire a grenade in an apartment building. Several police officers were immediately dispatched to the building to prevent the attack.
The police officers tried to neutralize the drunk saboteur and take the grenade away from him but the man resisted and pulled the pin anyway.
Three officers were wounded as a result. They suffered various injuries, some more severe than others, and were taken to hospital. It is worth mentioning the saboteur suffered no injury.
A pre-trial inspection has been instituted.
