Putin delays his annual Q&A session due to funeral of murdered Ambassador Karlov

Andrey Karlov’s funeral is scheduled on December 22.

The Russian President’s annual Q&A session, which was planned to be held on Thursday, to be delayed.

It is postponed on Friday, December 23, due to funeral of murdered Russian Ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov. It was reported by state press secretary Dmitry Peskov, according to Interfax.

Putin will take part in the ceremony, Peskov said.

To remind, Andrey Karlov was shot dead on December 19 during the opening of the photo exhibition "Russia through the eyes of the Turks." The gunman turned to be a 22-year-old Turkish ex-policeman.

The Russian Foreign Ministry considered the attack a terrorist act. Russian operational investigative group arrived in Ankara to participate in the investigation of Karlov’s murder.

Andrey Karlov’s funeral is scheduled on December 22.
