Prosecutor's Office set sights on construction business of Nizhny Novgorod Minister
Minister Ekaterina Pivovarova owns shares in two companies.
The Prosecutor's Office of the Nizhny Novgorod region conducts audit upon the Minister of Investments, Land and Property Relations of the region owns shares in two companies. "Based on the results of the audit, if there are grounds, the issue of measures will be resolved," the supervisory authority said.
According to the extract from the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Minister Ekaterina Pivovarova is a co-owner of the Moscow company MU-3 LLC. Its share is less than one percent, while the main shareholder of the company is Marina Balakina, the wife of chairman of SU-155 CJSC board Mikhail Balakin.
The second firm is the Moscow-based Eifer LLC, where Pivovarova owns 15%. Another 25% belongs to Maria Ulskaya, who was previously the main beneficiary of Promregionbank with a share of about 60.2% of the authorized capital. The main owner of Eifer is GK SU-155 JSC.
Ekaterina Pivovarova was appointed to the post of Minister of Investments, Land and Property Relations of the region at October 17, 2016. Prior to this appointment, Pivovarova worked in management positions in commercial organizations, in particular, was the first deputy general director of the company RK Stroy and deputy general director and director of the investment programs department of SU-155 CJSC.
The court believes that Anzhela Maria Tsapok could have made the money to buy the house and the expensive car by legal means, since she owned a firm. The court still refused to lift the attachment from her 6 million dollars.
