Prosecutor's office finds no exclusive dachas or lake in Aman Tuleev's ownership despite claims
Earlier reports claimed that the former Kuzbass governor had built "a whole village" covering 155.000 square meters of his property.
Aman Tuleev, the former head of the Kemerovo region, does not have any luxury dachas in his ownership, the region’s council of people's deputies said Wednesday, May 16, citing the findings of the prosecutor's office.
Earlier, Alexey Navalny published a video investigation exposing a "luxury dacha" covering 155.000 square meters of the property allegedly belonging to the official. Tuleev himself denied the claims and appealed to the prosecutor asking to review the allegations.
The parliament also stated that the documents on "false information" had been collected and sent to the Investigative Committee, which can now sue FBK for libel.
Aman Tuleev resigned as governor on April 1, after the fire in the Kemerovo shopping center Zimnyaya Vishnya ("Winter Cherry") that killed over 60 people. He was elected speaker of the regional council right after his resignation.
