It is already the third incident in the colony in a month - the first two ended with a lethal outcome.
Prisoner Pavel G. serving seven-year sentence in the corrective colony of strict regime No. 2 in the Rostov region was sent to a hospital after a severe beating. The 1rnd.ru portal with reference to human rights activists reports about it.
According to representative of Civil Rights Committee Anton Drozdov, the victim made different objects from a tree. Most likely, the conflict took place between him and local criminal leaders. It was not the first time when he was hospitalized after a beating - the first time he was hospitalized at the beginning of September.
“His left side is paralyzed, and recently he had a cerebral hemorrhage”, Drozdov told, adding that the prisoner's mothers reported on the incident only this week.
The Gulagu.net human rights organization addressed the Federal Penitentiary Service and Prosecutor General's Office with the requirement to carry out an inspection of the incident and to render all necessary help to the prisoner. Regional Federal Penitentiary Service told that the check is already in progress.
It should be added that it is already the third incident in correctional colony No 2 in a month. Thus, on August 31 one of the prisoners was found hanging in his cell and on September 30 another one died in a hospital.
