Primorye: school principal suspended from work after mob punishment of fifth-grader
According to the local deputy, the incident was the result of a number of hooligan actions committed by the student.
A school principal in the of city of Bolshoy Kamen, Primorye, where a father of an offended fifth-grader soused a bully pupil’s head into the toilet, was suspended from work, like the boy's class teacher, RIA Novosti reports. The head of the city’s education department was reprimanded for insufficient control, runews24.com writes. Earlier, the parents of the bully’s classmates repeatedly appealed to the police and to the school principal with complaints about the boy, one of the mothers told Izvestia.
The incident occurred on February 20. The boy was taken to the hospital. The Department of Education and Science of Primorye supervises the situation, the prosecutor's office launched a probe over the fact of causing bodily harm to the humiliated boy. According to the local deputy, earlier the fifth-grader committed molestation, which caused outrage of his classmates’ parents, but the school did not react. After the incident, the hooligan was registered with the juvenile affairs commission, Interfax reports.
On December 10, 2018, during a fight with another schoolboy, the boy hit a student who tried to stop the fight in the head. Against the bully’s grandmother, a protocol on the non-performance by parents or other legal representatives of minors of the duties of maintaining and raising minors was drawn up.
It concerns entrepreneur Dmitry Motorin, Boris Usherovich, a co-owner of the Group of Companies 1520, and Novoe Vremya board member, Ivan Stankevich. Motorin is accused of giving a bribe on an especially large scale, and Stankevich and Usherovich are charged with bribe-taking.
